How Does Led Zeppelin Figure into Bluegrass?
Actually, John Paul Jones playing mandolin so well on all those Led Zeppelin albums was an important influence on some of the most famous Bluegrass musicians we have. Like Chris Thile, Ronnie McCoury and Alison Krauss to name a few. And these days? He's STILL playing a big part in Bluegrass music by producing Bluegrass and acoustic albums and playing at festivals and learning all he can about The Carter Family and the history of Bluegrass and Traditional American Music.
